clouds in my coffee...

Introducing Matt Plumb, friend, colleague and illustrator extraordinaire. I just love the playful relationship of shape and color in this clouds series. Thanks to Carly Simon for magically bringing us back to Joe.

make your exit

now...it's my vote for best documentary. Thanks to Banksy and his fearless protege, Thierry, Exit Through The Gift Shop is honest, organic, inspiring, and controversial...an all around must see that creates a great debate between reckless abandon and seasoned artistry. watch it on netflix instantly. in the meantime, get hooked here.

"INSPIRATION is something that (to me) cannot be controlled. it doesn't show up on time. it doesn't have a name or phone number. it's illusive and must be consistently on my mind. it's a happy accident."

black coffee + black swan = bitter sweet cinematic treat

BLACK SWAN

skip the whip

If The Tourist was on the starbuck's drink menu, it would be decaf hot chocolate...simple, sugary, mildly energizing, kid friendly and topped with lots of fluff. Ricky Gervais said it best in his Golden Globes monologue when he bluntly alluded to the lack of three dimensional characters (which was a play on the 2011 saturation of 3d movies) while then offering an apology for the joke claiming that he had not actually seen the film. To which he followed with, "who has?!" Though silence fell amongst the golden globetrotting crowd, Ricky was right on in his sentiment. The Tourist is a terrible film with a stale storyline and bland characters. So take it from me, when you go to the theatre next time, opt for espresso and skip the whip-
